The inside of this old home was completely gutted to provide better functionality and use of space for its new owners. A complete redesign of the floor plan not only provided a better flow for traffic but also brought all of the day-to-day living onto the one level.
The owners’ brief was to bring the old and the new together to provide a modern and functional home that acknowledges its past. So 10m beams were installed to enable walls to be removed for open plan living then tongue and groove walls and polished hardwood floors were added.
Opening up the living areas to the back deck via bi-fold doors and a kitchen servery window gives the family additional space and is an entertainer’s paradise boasting amazing views across Tarragindi and beyond.
